‧Seoraksan National Park Seoraksan Mountain, located in Gangwon Province, South Korea, is named because its peak is covered with snow all year round. It spans four cities and counties in Gangwon Province, including Sokcho City, Inje County, Goseong County, and Yangyang County. It is centered on the highest peak, Daecheongbong (1,708 meters above sea level). The east is called Oeseorak, the west is Naeoseorak, and Oeseorak is further divided into North and South Oeseorak. This is also because it has many rare species and has been designated as a biological conservation area by UNESCO. Seoraksan, accompanied by streams and numerous tree species, is the most famous national park in South Korea.
‧Seoraksan Cable Car If you want to see Seoraksan Mountain in the shortest time possible, the best option is to take the Seoraksan Cable Car! When riding the cable car, you can enjoy the strange rocks and cliffs in the Gwongeumseong area. Looking down from above, you can also get a panoramic view of the small park. Looking into the distance, you can also see the Sokcho city area and the East China Sea. It is definitely not to be missed when you come to Seoraksan!
‧Seoraksan Ulsanbawi Rock Ulsan Rock is composed of 6 granite peaks. Climbing Ulsan Rock, you can not only see Daecheongbong, but also the panoramic view of Oeseorak. Ulsan Rock is surrounded by steep cliffs, which is quite spectacular. On the way to Ulsan Rock, you will pass by the Sinheungsa Temple in the Seorak-dong Park. There are also wonders such as the Shaking Rock along the way, which are well worth a visit.
‧Feilong Waterfall Located between Liutan Waterfall and Tuwangcheng Waterfall, it gets its name because the more than 10-meter-long water flow cascading down looks like a giant dragon leaping into the sky. Although it is not large in scale, the water flow is extremely strong and spectacular.
‧Xinxing Temple Formerly known as Hyangseongsa Temple, it was rebuilt after several fires. Remains here include the 1,400-year-old Buddhist bell, the bronze steamer given by King Sunjo of Joseon, the Geuknakbojeon, the Puji Tower, the three-story stone pagoda on the grounds of Hyangseongsa Temple, as well as the three Buddha statues, the Hades Hall, the Seondi Tower, the Chilsungak Pavilion and other buildings.
